Aruba 1.7.2017

Awoke in  Oranjestad Aruba, to a glorious morning.  Also heard at home there is snow and it was still coming down. We are  delighted to be in the Caribbean!

Beth spent day snorkeling and then sightseeing. It was wonderful though rough and during the second stop several of the other guests needed to be rescued.

Mary Sherwood relaxed and got a massage.

posted a few pictures, though I think one of them is upside down (Mike can you fix??)

Off to Santa Marta Columbia and we both have adventures to experience there

Day 2 1.4.2017

??! Coast of Cuba visible at times today, we sailed along northern coast.
Picture attached is for those of you who thought there wouldn’t be anything to do for 111 days on the ship. This is only one days activities that start at 6am with the last one starting at 11pm.
There are lectures, nearly first run ? movies, documentaries, games, lessons in everything from bridge to Salsa, a book ? club, afternoon tea, a lovely library, and nice fitness room with classes, elegant spa that will sell you anything you want, live entertainers, a Casino, friends of Bill, singles and LGBTQ get togethers and happy hours twice a day‼
(Note from Beth, Mom hasn’t gotten out of her lounging robe yet and it’s 3:30pm)
On another note…..weather is perfect, low 80’s and very smooth seas ☀️☀️?

Sailing Day 1.3.2017

Setting Sail 1.3.2017
Arrived early morning 1:30 am to hotel in Ft Lauderdale and despite little sleep we awoke to sunshine, beach and warm temperatures ! Bus to terminal revealed we are traveling with a group where Mom said “it makes Warwick Forest look like a youth Hostel.”
We are settling in, room is what was hoped for, and service so far excellent. Our steward Tomislav (or Tomi) is from Serbia and has been attentive, Mom has put away most of her stuff and will finish tomorrow, there is plenty of space.
Finally, in one of the bars and enjoying a Cosmopolitan with Mom…..beginning to feel the wash of vacation moving through……?

Day 1

Finally packed, at NN airport and whisked through security. Being in a wheelchair helps, even got us out any baggage fees!
Oh….flight delayed, but what service this airport has…free snacks and drinks while we wait!
